A local customer’s
experience

“Orange Mango did a great job at our house in Jefferson City. Super easy to work with, showed up when they said they would, and we’ve had way fewer bugs since the service.”

What are you noticing?

A nest. An opening.
A repeated flight path.

Describe what you can see without approaching. Whether you see a nest, repeated traffic into one spot, or only passing insects helps focus the inspection.

A visible nest

Tell us whether it is under an eave, on a shed, beneath a deck, or elsewhere. Estimate the height from the ground and mention nearby doors or occupied spaces. A photo you already have may help.

Traffic into a wall or ground opening

Identify the opening insects repeatedly use, even when the nest is hidden. Do not seal it, dig around it, or remove siding or other building material to look inside.

Insects near patios & entrances

Tell us whether insects are gathering near food, drinks, or trash, or consistently returning to one location. Passing or foraging insects do not by themselves establish where a nest is located.

Our wasp & hornet service

Identify the activity.
Assess the access.

We evaluate the insect, nest location, height, and accessible areas before outlining treatment. The surrounding structure and nearby activity help define what work can be proposed.

Paper wasps build exposed paper combs; yellowjackets may use ground openings, cavities, or enclosed aerial nests. Those clues help guide identification without approaching the nest.

Nest information: University of California IPM’s social-wasp guide.

Review the nest & surroundings

We discuss where insects are entering or nesting and assess accessible areas. Mention entrances, walkways, play spaces, elevated decks, locked gates, and other access restrictions.

Explain treatment & coverage

We outline the proposed work, preparation, and any separate quote. Difficult or concealed nests need an assessment of their own; recurring general pest service is not unlimited nest removal at any height.

Set expectations after service

Follow the instructions for the treated location, including access restrictions and when to report continuing activity. Let us know if insects keep using the same opening or appear somewhere new.

Before the inspection

Share the details.
Leave the nest alone.

There is no need to get closer to identify markings or measure the nest. Describe the location and height as best you can, and use another entrance when practical.

A shared entrance or business?

Identify who can authorize access, when the area is used, and whether another route is available. We discuss service timing and access instructions with the responsible person; treatment should not be assumed possible while the area remains occupied.

Discuss commercial pest control ↗
  • Keep people and pets clear.Avoid the active area and tell other residents or staff about the location. Do not approach to obtain a better photograph.
  • Leave active openings undisturbed.Do not seal an entrance, dismantle building materials, or attempt to move the nest while waiting for the inspection.
  • Explain access before the visit.Mention locked gates, narrow side yards, elevated decks, and the approximate nest height. Coordinate permission for rental or commercial spaces.
  • Manage food and waste away from the nest.Keep outdoor food and drinks covered and use closed waste containers where practical. Do not enter an active nest area to clean or move items.

Nest concerns & ongoing protection

Coverage starts
with the specific nest.

Compare every plan ↗

A Mango plan does not mean every nest or removal is included. The insect, location, accessibility, and written agreement determine whether the concern fits your coverage or needs a separate proposal. TriBand’s accessible eave and soffit work is part of general exterior protection; it does not promise nest service at any height.

Wasp & hornet questions

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Is every wasp or hornet nest covered by a Mango plan?

No blanket nest coverage should be assumed. The insect, nest location, accessibility, and your agreement determine whether the concern fits recurring coverage or needs a separate proposal. Accessible eaves are a TriBand focus area, but that is not unlimited nest service at any height.

Can you treat a nest in a wall, in the ground or high on the building?

Nest location, height, activity and access determine what work can be proposed. Describe the entrance or nest from a safe distance when you contact us. Difficult or concealed nests may need a separate scope; general pest coverage does not mean every nest or removal is included.

How should I prepare while waiting for a wasp inspection?

Keep people and pets away from the active area and tell us about entrances or walkways nearby. Do not disturb the nest or seal an active entrance. Share its approximate location and height without climbing or approaching it; we will discuss access, preparation and the next step.

How much does wasp or hornet control cost?

The inspection establishes the proposed work and price based on the insect, nest location, height, and access. Mango Core’s $49 monthly starting price is for qualifying homes on a recurring general pest plan, not a flat price for every nest. We confirm initial charges, coverage, and any separate nest-treatment quote before service.

Does treatment include physically removing the nest?

Do not assume removal is included. We explain the proposed treatment and whether any nest removal is included before work begins. A concealed nest or one at a difficult height may need a separate scope, and building repair should not be assumed part of the service.

What if I still see wasps after service?

Follow the instructions for the treated area and report continued use of the same opening or new activity elsewhere. Do not disturb the location to check the result yourself. Follow-up depends on the agreed service and findings; treating a nest does not mean every flying insect around the property will disappear.

What if the insects might be bees?

Tell us you are unsure and request identification before choosing treatment. Do not assume every yellow-and-black insect is a wasp, or that wasp service includes bee removal or relocation. A distant photo you already have may help; do not approach a nest or swarm to take one.

Can you assess activity near a business or shared entrance?

Yes. Tell us who coordinates the property, which entrances or outdoor spaces are affected, and when people use them. We discuss authorized access, service timing, and preparation for the proposed work. See our commercial pest-control service for property-specific proposals.
