What are you noticing?

The location matters.
So does the pattern.

Tell us which rooms are affected, when sightings happen, and whether the activity is repeating. A photograph can help identification, but it cannot establish the full service scope or price.

Around kitchens & appliances

Report sightings near sinks, cabinets, refrigerators, or cooking equipment. Note small insects as well as larger ones, and tell us whether activity appears after lights are turned on or during the day.

Bathrooms & utility spaces

Point out possible droppings, shed skins, or repeated sightings in sheltered areas. Mention leaks, damp spaces, and recent plumbing work so the inspection can focus on the conditions you have observed.

More than one room or unit

Identify each affected space separately. Shared storage, laundry areas, and utility routes may need attention, but a sighting in one unit does not establish the scope for the entire building.

Our cockroach-control approach

Inspect first.
Treat with purpose.

We inspect accessible hiding areas and discuss a targeted plan that may include baiting and crack-and-crevice work. Species, the extent of activity, and how the space is used guide the recommendation.

German cockroaches can establish indoor infestations, while wood cockroaches may enter from outdoors without establishing an indoor population. Identification helps distinguish those situations.

Species information: University of Missouri Extension’s cockroach guide.

Identify the activity

We review the rooms involved, signs you have noticed, and accessible hiding areas. Tell us about previous treatments, leaks, deliveries, used appliances, and changes in occupancy.

Explain the treatment & preparation

Your proposal identifies the affected rooms or units, recommended treatment, preparation, and price. We explain which areas need to be accessible before you empty cabinets or move belongings.

Plan the follow-up

The service plan establishes follow-up for your infestation. Record activity by room and date, report signs in new areas, and check with us before adding products to treated spaces.

Before and between visits

Clear instructions.
Practical next steps.

Wait for preparation instructions specific to your visit. Emptying every cabinet or moving belongings between rooms may not be appropriate for the treatment being proposed.

Already used a spray or bait?

Tell us the product name, where it was applied, and when. Keep that information with any previous service reports and ask before adding more products.

Help without assumptions.

A cockroach report does not tell us how the activity began. We discuss the conditions and access needed for service without assuming the problem resulted from poor housekeeping.

  • Record sightings by room and date.Note repeat activity, small insects, and signs around appliances. A clear photo can be useful; do not move affected items just to get one.
  • Keep food and waste contained.Seal food, clean accessible crumbs and spills, and manage trash. Report leaks and reduce unnecessary cardboard or clutter where feasible.
  • Arrange the right access.Ask which inspection areas need to be cleared. Tell us about pets, access restrictions, and equipment that cannot readily be moved.
  • Keep everyone informed.Share preparation instructions with the people using the affected spaces. In a rental, coordinate authorized entry through the responsible resident or manager.

These are recurring residential plan prices, not flat cockroach-treatment prices. A cockroach infestation may require dedicated treatment and follow-up outside general pest coverage. We inspect the concern and confirm any separate service proposal before you choose a plan.

Cockroach control questions

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Is a cockroach infestation covered by a general pest plan?

Not automatically. Identification, the extent of activity and your written coverage determine whether the concern is included or needs a dedicated proposal. Persistent infestations can require separate treatment and follow-up; commercial and multifamily work is quoted for the property.

What does cockroach treatment involve?

We inspect reported activity and accessible hiding areas, then discuss a targeted plan that may include baiting and crack-and-crevice work. The proposal explains the rooms or units included, preparation, price, and follow-up. An exterior general pest visit should not be assumed to address an indoor infestation.

How much does cockroach control cost?

The inspection establishes the service recommendation and price. Species, affected rooms or units, and the extent of activity matter; one photograph cannot establish the full quote. Mango Core’s $49 monthly starting price is for qualifying homes on a recurring general pest plan, not a flat price for dedicated cockroach treatment. We confirm initial charges and any separate treatment costs before service.

Should I empty cabinets before cockroach treatment?

Ask us for the preparation instructions for your visit first. Tell us which rooms, cabinets or appliances have activity, what products you have used, and any access restrictions. We explain which areas need to be accessible and how to prepare them for the proposed treatment.

Will one cockroach treatment be enough?

The inspection determines the recommended service and follow-up; a single visit should not be assumed to resolve every infestation. Report where activity continues, follow the preparation and sanitation instructions, and check with us before adding products to treated areas.

Does one cockroach mean there is an infestation?

Not necessarily. Some species can establish indoor populations, while others may enter from outdoors. Note where and when you saw it and whether sightings repeat. Identification and inspection help determine the next step; see our cockroach identification guide for clues to record.

How is cockroach service arranged for apartments or businesses?

Tell us who coordinates the property, which rooms or units have activity, and whether shared areas are involved. Arrange authorized entry and share preparation instructions with the people using those spaces. Commercial and multifamily work receives a property-specific proposal; learn more about commercial pest control for your property.
